The Pyrex dish she always uses to make pie crust.
In go 7 granny smith apples.
On goes cinnamon, sugar, and tapioca.
She bakes this pie for 1 hour and 6 minutes. Every time. And has no idea why.
We ate this pie with homemade vanilla ice cream.
Yes, it was fantastically delectable.
So tell me: What are you learning to bake? Who is teaching you?
I baked my first Cherry pie the other week and had to use instant tapioca too which I had never used before. I was nervous because when you pour it in the pie dish it has all the little beads and I was worried they wouldn't cook or something but it ended up being a wonderful pie and Heath claimed it was his favorite ever (win!). I just found the recipe on allrecipes.com since it had a high rating and looked simple (took no time at all to make!). P.S. That apple pie looks tasty! (my favorite kind of pie).
ReplyDeleteI TOTALLY HAVE THE EXACT SAME ROSE QUICHE DISH! It was my mom's and she gave it to me :)
ReplyDeleteMy thing lately has been home-made "pop-tarts", which is essentially pie crust pockets filled with jams or blackberries. AND I found the most incredible pie crust recipe. I will send it to you. It has changed my life :)
